After the Asteroid: Earth’s Comeback Story
After the Asteroid: Earth’s Comeback Story

Sixty-six million years ago a 6-mile-wide asteroid slammed into Earth and caused the

extinction of more than 75% of life on Earth, including the dinosaurs. This was the single worst day for

life on Earth. How and when life rebounded in the aftermath of the extinction has been shrouded in

mystery due to a poor fossil record. An extraordinary new discovery east of Colorado Springs preserves a

remarkably complete fossil record with entire fossil mammals, turtles, crocodiles, and plants and paints

a vivid picture of how life rebounded after Earth’s darkest hour.

National Museum of Military Vehicles
National Museum of Military Vehicles
The National Museum of Military Vehicles is a $100 million, 140,000 square foot museum dedicated to honoring the service and sacrifice of our veterans and their families; educating next generations on the history of American freedom; and preserving and sharing historic military vehicles. The centerpiece of the museum is the largest private collection of military vehicles in the world consisting of more than 450 tanks, other vehicles, and artillery. The museum is home to the Liberty Bell of American firearms - the musket that fired the first shot at the Battle of Bunker Hill in 1775.
