Bringing Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library to Larimer County Families

The Dolly Parton Imagination Library is the flagship program of the Dollywood Foundation and began serving families in Tennessee in 1995.  This grassroots community-by-community book gifting program mails, high-quality, age-appropriate books to children from birth until age five, free to the family, no matter their income.  Currently, 1.7 million children receive books monthly through the program in five countries (United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia & Ireland).  United Way of Larimer County is excited to partner with the Dollywood Foundation and Imagination Library of Colorado to bring this program to local children in Larimer County and will launch enrollment on September 1.  Through partnerships with local library districts, service organizations, businesses and individual donors, our goal is to reach thousands of families in Fort Collins, Loveland, Estes Park, Berthoud and Wellington communities with this important program.  We hope you’ll join us in giving the gift of early literacy to children throughout Larimer County!
