Thank you to everyone who helped out and participated in last week's Astronaut Luncheon event to benefit STEM. We were able to scholarship in 32 students with their parents and teachers, and I continue to get heartfelt thank-you notes from people who recognized the impact for our community. And we got front-page article in the Fort Collins Coloradoan on Thursday! We did indeed generate some funds for the STEM Grants program, I'm doing the final tallies right now.

This Tuesday is the last opportunity to bring your used medical equipment for the Crutches4Africa effort. We'll be transporting them up to Steamboat Springs for the District Conference on Thursday.
On May 21st we will be electing our 3 incoming Board members for their 2024-2027 term. If you would like to nominate yourself for one of these positions, please contact Wynn Washle. This is a wonderful experience and valuable contribution to our club!
The Breakfast Rotary Club is doing their Field of Honor event on Memorial Day weekend. Please buy medallions for your veterans and loved ones; it's a quite memorable experience. I also was told that they'll be reading the names of fallen servicemen and servicewomen in the Global War on Terror Wall of Remembrance that Saturday and Sunday. Project Self-Sufficiency Cars for Families Program
Lyndsey Hertz, the Development Director, and Natasia Lovato-Garcia, the Program Coordinator, will be joining the Foothills Rotary Club to discuss Project Self-Sufficiency's Cars for Families Program. The presentation will highlight the challenges and intricacies related to the application and acceptance of participants, as well as the process of accepting donated cars and purchasing cars with donated funds. Gary Bragdon and Don Griffith, who are faithful volunteers of the Cars for Families Program, will also be present to answer any additional questions.
