Registration is now closed for our amazing meeting with Astronaut Dorothy "Dottie" Metcalf-Lindenburger!

For our noon meeting on Tuesday May 7th, JD is bringing in real life NASA Astronaut Dottie Metcalf-Lindenburger! She grew up here and graduated from Fort Collins High School, now living in Vancouver Washington. She's the first Space Camp alumna to become an astronaut, in 2004. She also commanded the NEEMO 16 undersea exploration mission.

During the STS-131 Discovery mission in 2010, she was one of the first four women ever to be in space at the same time. This mission spanned 15 days, 6 million miles, and 238 Earth orbits. She retired from NASA in 2014. More about her history and credentials is on the registration page.

We are working with PSD teachers and the other Fort Collins Rotary Clubs to make this a powerful support of PSD STEM programs. We'll be inviting STEM students and teachers to join us for lunch at our expense. Any excess funds and donations will be given to the Fort Collins (Downtown) Rotary Club's STEM committee to manage with the grants they give out.
