The FC High School Interact Club had their first organizational meeting this week. Thank you to our exchange student, Louise for spearheading this effort with the support of Lisa Dunne & Deems Hargleroad. We are working to set up a meeting where they can present the program to our club.

Earlier this week I sent an email asking for volunteers for the District Conference....that was a brain lapse on my part....it is the upcoming President Elect Training Seminar (PETS) that is looking for volunteers. Here is the info:
I am seeking volunteers to be Sergeant At Arms at the upcoming President Elect Training Seminar (PETS) to be help March 21 and 22 at the Loveland Embassy Suites Hotel.
It is relatively simple and easy service. On Friday (21st) there are 4 two (2) hour shifts: 8:30 - 10:30 am, 10:30 - 12:30, 12:30 - 2:30, and 2:30 to 4:30 with 2 people needed per shift. One person each will be at the main entrances to direct the attendees to the registration area, answer any general questions, and provide a good Rotary welcome.
On Saturday, March 22 from 7:30 - 9:30 am, there is a need for 4 people to direct attendees to their correct breakout rooms.
There will be Presidents Elect, Presidents Elect Nominees, Assistant Governors, Governors and other guests representing 4 different Districts. This is a new venue for PETS as for many years it was held in Denver so I would appreciate your help.

Peach Fest Training
It is also that time of year to start thinking about getting certified to be able to sell or serve alcohol at the Peach Festival. Previously folks were required to get TIPS Trained. However, the FCPD Safe Serve class seems to be a MUCH better option than TIPS. You must be in person but it is only $10, no test needed, just a class worksheet you fill out together at the end of the class and that is it. The class is good for two years, like TIPS and it is on record with FCPD.
The link below is to get on the schedule for the class which is one per month and all are taught by Carrie Ripsam, she is the Alcohol Enforcement officer for FCPD. Her classes do fill up since many attendees are new hires working for local bars, restaurants, etc. so you need to get online and reserve a spot while you can. When signing up under employer, put in PEACH FESTIVAL, that way Carrie will get us a record of all that have taken the course.
