What a great time the Changing of the Guard party was on Tuesday!  Thanks to all of those who could make it.   I want to especially thank Carl for all of his work in preparing for the party, Wynn for creating a new tradition of recognition, Clark Street Station for the great music and all of those who helped clean up and take  leftovers home!   

 

With the start of the year, Kathy Haake is now officially President Elect and Lisa Dunne is the President Elect Nominee.   We are excited to have Rich Laub and Ruth Lutes join the Board as well.  We also want to thank Eric Ferm for serving on the Board as his term ended in June.  

 

This Tuesday I will be making the presentation.   I'm excited to share my experience in Calgary and discuss my goals for my term as President. In addition I'll be doing a 2:20 to tell you a little more about myself.   

 

On Friday I sent an email regarding the Peach Festival.   Please be sure to sign up for a shift!   This is one of the key fundraisers for our club. Providing a sufficient amount of volunteers is critical to ensure we can get our portion of funds raised.  One way to ensure that we have enough volunteers is to bring spouses, kids, grandkids or whoever else you may want to invite to have a fun day with.  I also sent an email yesterday regarding the opportunity to make additional donations to Texas flood efforts.   If you are interested in doing this you can do so at the meeting or through links on our homepage or the email that was sent.
