Hello Foothills Rotarians! 

I had such grand aspirations of getting the newsletter out to you before Tuesday but as you can see that didn't happen!   It's hard to believe but this will be my last meeting at the Marriott as President.   While there are many things that I have enjoyed this year about being President, i have to say that leading meetings has been one of my favorites.   It will be a surreal experience in July not being upfront.   Don't worry though, I will be back on the Fines committee and I'm sure I will find many opportunities to come to the podium!   

Today our presentation will be from Jared Scherger of Hazel Dell Mushroom farms.   This should be a great presentation and I'm looking forward to this one!   Please remember next week we will not be having our regular meeting as it will be the Changing of the Guard Party.   Wynn and Karen have been hard at work planning this event.   We have 61 people registered so far.  If you haven't resisted yet, it isn't too late!  This will take place next Tuesday from 5:30 - 7:30 at the Fossil Lake Ranch Club House which is the same location as last year.   At last count we had 61 people registered!   If you haven't registered, there is still time .   Please remember that you can bring guest to this event as well  Here is the link to register.   Sign up for Changing of the Guard! | Rotary Club of Fort Collins (Foothills)

The other thing I want to highlight is that volunteer sign up for the Peach Festival has begun.   Please sign up early to ensure you get the spot you want.   Also there is always a need for those who are Safe Serve or alternatives to check ID's and serve alcohol.   There is a class for SafeServe on July 8th if you are interested.   There are also other option to get certified if you can't make it to that class.   I really hope we have a good turnout of volunteers as it is so important for our Club's charitable giving.    Here is the link and QR code to volunteer   2026 Peach Festival — Signup Sheet | SignUp.com    For volunteers this year, they are limiting it to those who are Rotarians or those that know someone in Rotary.

Finally I wanted to let everyone know about our slate of candidates for the Board next year.  They are Imran Bhimani, Fran Truillo and Genesis Vicek.   I'm very excited that Imran is willing to do another 3 year term and equally excited to have Fran and Genesis join us!
