This Tuesday is the Big Event! All attendees should have received the email giving instructions for the Astronaut Luncheon event to benefit STEM. The 185 attendees include 32 STEM students with parents and teachers, 45 club members, a reporter and photographer from the Coloradoan, District Governor Julie, and another 85 guests. Your assignment is to be friendly, welcoming, and helpful.
At the moment, we are exactly $300.04 shy on breaking even for the event. So please, if you'd like to help make this successful, bring a check to Tuesday's meeting or donate online. Remember that all excess funds will go to benefit STEM grants in PSD.
Thank you all who are supporting the District's Crutches4Africa effort! Please bring your assistive items to Tuesday's meeting and give them to Wynn or Deems.

Training NASA Astronauts: From Orbits to Exploration
Dottie Metcalf-Lindenberger is a graduate of Fort Collins High School. Her talk will cover the early NASA training (Mercury, Gemini, Apollo) programs. She will also talk about Shuttle and ISS training, where she has first hand knowledge and will look at exploration training (return to Moon and onto Mars) and the significance of Earth analogs.
