Happy Veterans Day! I want to say thank you to all of the Veterans in our club that have served. We are so lucky to have you!
Today our presentation will be from the Foothills Rotary Foundation. Bob Sanderson and Chris Otto will provide an update on all the good work the Foundation has been up to. In addition, we will have some special guest from Project Self Sufficiency. We are so fortunate to have our own foundation that has been doing amazing work for many years!
Our fines today will be dedicated to the Food Bank. There is a member of the club who has agreed to match any fines that are made tomorrow. Because of this we will remove the five dollar limit. If you elect to write a check tomorrow, you can make it out to Foothills Foundation. We will also have a QR code if you prefer to contribute that way.
We will also be inducting a new member today. Her name is Brook Jostad and she happens to be Scott Woods niece. Bringing in new members is always exciting and Brook will be a great addition to our club! She is very interested in working with the Win Schindel Impact. Speaking of the fund, Brian Winegar is going to provide an update of what the fund has done so far. In the short time this fund has been in place, there has been some amazing things they have been able to do.
I want to thank Lisa Dunne and all of the members who invited Alumni for our Alumni Lunch last week. It was an amazing event, and it looks like we will likely have a couple of Alumni rejoin the club! It's hard to believe but next week will be our last meeting before Thanksgiving. Our speaker next Tuesday will be John Haney of the Trolley Museum in Colorado Springs. It will also be our kickoff for Holiday Baskets. Look forward to seeing everyone at the meeting today!
