Rotary Experiences and the State Department

I would like to take this opportunity to reflect on my unique experience as a Rotary Youth Exchange Student, Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar, and Rotary Peace Fellow. I would like to provide concrete examples of how these experiences changed me as a person and shaped my future educational and professional pursuits. Moreover, I would like to shed light on how investments in the development of human relationships can have longer term benefits. For instance, I will introduce the children in Liberia whose education I continue to sponsor – a deed that was made possible through Rotary. Lastly, I will discuss how my Rotary experiences of building goodwill and understanding with others continues to inform my work. I will end by thanking Rotarians and will leave room for Q&A.
