Good morning!

I hope you all were able to stay reasonably cool last week. Cindy and I cheated and drove up to Estes Park for a few days. Yes, it was perfect up there!

Our exchange student Hugo Holgen will be with us tomorrow for the last time. He returns to Sweden on Thursday. We wish Hugo all the best in his future endeavours. Take a minute and wish Hugo Bon Voyage!

REMINDER: No noon meeting next week on July 30th - Friday, August 2nd instead! See below.

Quote of the Week:

"Our understanding of how to live with one another is still far behind our knowledge of how to destroy one another."

  • PEACH FESTIVAL VOLUNTEERS !!
As of Sunday, July 14th, there are 178 of the 389 (46%) volunteer slots still open for the Rotary Peach Festival on August 17th. Foothills members have filled 44 (11%) of these slots - we have about 30% of the Fort Collins Rotarians. I'm hoping you can see your way to sign up for a least one slot. If there are not sufficient volunteers, the Peach Festival committee will have to hire workers for $18/hour, so each 3 hour slot will increase their costs by $54. Please sign up today and if you absolutely are not able to volunteer your time, think about donating $54 to the Peach Festival to cover the cost of an open slot.
Remember! "Service Above Self"
To volunteer online, click on this link: Peach Volunteer Sign Up and you’ll be taken directly to the sign up. The process is identical to previous years. You will not be asked to log in or create a user ID or password.   Please contact Ruth Lutes or Emily Jolly if you have any problems or questions.

  •  PEACH FESTIVAL SPONSORSHIPS
There is still time to be a Peach Festival sponsor and help the Fort Collins Rotary Clubs make a significant donation to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Larimer County, the primary beneficiary of the Peach Festival proceeds.  To make your donation, go to the link below (cntrl click) or contact a Foothills Rotary Peach Festival Member.

Share Rotary on your social media!

You may have noticed that I put a wonderful video upon our club's Facebook page. Please share this with your Facebook friends, along with a personal message which encourages folks to contact you if they'd like to find out more!

This was produced by the Silverdale Rotary Club, and designed for sharing. I added a trailer slide on the end which specifically points back to our club and website.

If you're connected with me on LinkedIn, you may have noticed that I shared it there as well!
