I am sorry to share that former Evening Group member and Rotarian of the Year Janet Peterson and her husband Jim tragically lost their middle son, Ryan on Wednesday morning to a ruptured aortic aneurysm. Ryan was 27 years-old and as Janet shared, "Loved his job and had found the love of his life who found him in the shower of their home in Arvada. His life was all before him."
Of course, they are devastated and are in the process of making funeral arrangements, likely next week. I have asked Rotary Cares to send flowers on behalf of our club and will update you on arrangements.
If you would like to reach out, here is their contact information:

On a lighter note, congratulations to Carl Dierschow for receiving Rotarian of the Month for November. Thank you Carl for all the work you do for our club. It is appreciated.
Also, congratulations to Joe Scherger for being installed as our newest club member. We are thrilled to have you along on our goal to "Improve Lives".
Heather Buoniconti is looking for help on her District Conference Planning Committee. This effort will take us all to one degree or another. Please reach out to Heather at: (970) 490-1515.
Our speakers on Tuesday are fantastic. They were actually keynote speakers at the International Conference in Singapore! Peter Teahen and John Ockenfels: Around the World: Flight to End Polio
Cousins and fellow Rotarians, Peter and John, piloted a single piston-engine airplane around the world in 2023 to raise awareness and money for Rotary’s End Polio Now program. The flight took 90-days, made 37 landings in 19 countries, and involved 24 fundraisers. Only 702 pilots in aviation history have ever achieved this feat, and less than 270 are alive today!
Please make the Purple Pins event on your calendars for Feb 2nd. Sponsorship info is below.
