Foothills Rotary Weekly Bulletin

I wanted to remind you that next Tuesday, the International Service Committee will be having a meeting right after our regular noon meeting. We have money budgeted, and just received the grant from District, so it will be a great discussion! And we're looking for more people to join in the discussion. Contact Ray Swanson with questions, or just stick around for the meeting Tuesday!

I'm looking forward to our lunch on October 31st at the new Longview campus of SummitStone Health Partners. This is an important part of our support for mental health in the community. Please mark your calendars for SummitStone's Fundraiser on October 11th - more will be announced soon.

This is the first reading for Celeste Nigh who has applied to join our club. She comes from Vermont, and has worked with the Loveland Food Bank. If you have any inputs or concerns, please contact Deems, myself, or any Board member.

Rotary Peace Corps Week
This year’s Rotary-Peace Corps Week is 18-22 September. It is an opportunity for members of both organizations to collaborate, share their resources, and co-create projects that will have an even greater impact. It is hosted by Partnering for Peace, a group of Returned Peace Corps Volunteers who are also Rotary and Rotaract members and are passionate about the impact we can all make together through the official Rotary-Peace Corps partnership.

NFL Pool is back!

One of our favorite club fundraisers is back for 2023! Join in the fun in the Yahoo Sports Pro Football Pick'em. Pick the winners each week during the NFL season, and you could win a few bucks! Net proceeds go to fund our Club Foundation.

The cost is $34 for the whole season via a check to Foothills Rotary Charitable Foundation or you can Venmo Curtis at @Superc1324.

Pickleball Classic!
Our first Fort Collins Pickleball Classic is October 21st! We're currently in need of event sponsors at all levels - contact Mark Goldrich with leads and questions.
Support needs in Maui
Our hearts go out to those impacted by the disastrous fires in Maui, Hawaii. Many Rotarians are directly impacted. There are nine Rotary clubs on Maui and at this point it has been reported that the homes of two Club Presidents have been destroyed.
