As our Rotary year comes to a close, I'm excited to appreciate all the wonderful things we've been able to do this year. If you weren't around for our Club Assembly on May 21st, you can view the recording here. And of course on the last Tuesday of June we'll have our Changing of the Guard celebration at 5:30 on the 25th. It's at Terry Dye's house again this year, and will a wonderful time. I hope you'll be able to make it!
I mentioned last week that the Women in Rotary Conference is in Westcliff (by Pueblo) the last weekend in July. I encourage all women to take advantage of this - more information here.
Things are proceeding rapidly on our three big fundraisers: 14th Annual Peach Festival on August 17th, our inaugural Fort Collins Duck Race on September 7th, and the Pickleball Classic on October 19th. Since we'll be taking off a couple of weeks (6/25 party and 7/2 holiday), make sure to watch your email for updates. The volunteer signup for Peach Festival will open very soon, and we need LOTS of volunteers!

Drs. Heather and Phillip Steyn - Vet care in Ecuador
Amici Cannis – delivering access to veterinary care to indigenous villages in Ecuador
Drs. Heather and Phillip Steyn, founders and medical advisors of Amici Cannis, will discuss their efforts to deliver access to veterinary care to indigenous villages in Ecuador. They will also explain how the organization stopped the culling of street animals by the local government and has managed to stabilize the numbers through a rigorous spay/neuter and preventive care program. We will hear about their approach to access to veterinary care in indigenous villages and how their education program in schools has already yielded positive results. The veterinary externship program for students from US-based universities,will also be introduced.
