Hello Foothills Rotarians,

Happy 1st of February!   Today is an exciting day as we have our Quad Club Event of Purple Pins for Polio!   I want to thank Ruth for all of her hard work in helping make this such a great event each year.   If you aren't on a team let me know as I know there are slots that can still be filled.  If bowling isn't your thing but you want to socialize, please do so!   One of the great things about this event is that it's a great way to interact with other Rotarians especially those outside of our club.

On Tuesday, we will be back at the Marriott, and our speaker will be Stacy Lischka of Poudre Valley Community Farms.   She will be speaking about community farming in Larimer County and their efforts to preserve farmland in our county.  On the 10th, Erin O"Toole and Christina Cooper from KUNC will be our speakers.   They will be discussing the impact of Public Radio on our community.  It has no doubt been an interesting year for Public Radio and Television in the last year and this should be a very interesting presentation.  The week after we will not have a meeting with Presidents Day being on the 17th

On the 13th we will be participating in Slamin Famine.   If you are interested in participating,  the link to register is here.  Slammin Famine 2026 | Rotary Club of Fort Collins (Foothills)

Also a month from now we will have our Quad Club picnic at the Drake Centre.

Finally, I wanted to provide some additional info about RYLA.   Brian Winegar has provided the following information about RYLA.   I can say firsthand, this is a life changing experience.  I'm really hoping that we can get a lot of applications generated from our club.
