This WEEK'S meeting:
Thank you all for being so kind to me for my first meeting, even though we were in a somewhat small room!
What a great program last week! We are blessed to have Barbara Fleming in Fort Collins recording and re-telling our local history. I was kinda surprised that so many members remembered the old bars Fort Collins had!

Inspiration:   Linda Vomaske

Greeters:  Kelly Moll & Steve Broman

Joke Master:  Bud Frick

Fine Master:  Vince Lubenow

This Week's Program:
Chocolate and How it is Made in Ft Collins

Toby and Alix Gadd, co-founders of Nuance Chocolate, have been certified chocoholics for decades, even going on chocolate-tasting dates together over a decade ago.  Inspired after visiting a chocolate museum near Hone Creek in Costa Rica, their infatuation with eating chocolate developed into exploring the chemistry, flavors, and mysteries of making their own small-batch chocolate. What began as an all-consuming hobby quickly outgrew their home kitchen, blossoming into Nuance Chocolate—one of a small number of true bean-to-bar chocolate makers in the United States.

During the presentation, Toby will take the audience on a “Show and Smell” tour of how Nuance makes chocolate—right from raw beans, roasted and ground in Old Town Fort Collins

Next Week's Program (July 24th):
David Silverstein
How and Why Colorado is Taking the Lead in Healthcare Price Transparency
Our speaker is leading the effort to enact truly transformation legislation by taking the matter of healthcare price transparency to voters in November. Colorado Ballot Initiative 146 would be the first law in the country requiring comprehensive price transparency in all aspects of healthcare. He will also address the economics of price transparency and why it is the lynchpin to all of the other improvements we need to see.

Ads on the Club Website

Starting April 1st, we will be accepting website ads from those outside our club. So if you know someone who might be interested to get a little visibility for their company or cause, point them to this information.

Have them download the sponsorship guide here and then fill out this form. There are only ten slots available. First come first served!

All ads will be approved by our Club's board, to keep this from being a poor representation of Rotary.
