I want to thank Kathe Haake, who has stepped up to be our Club President in 2026-2027! That will be a special year also because it's the 50th anniversary of the chartering of our Club on May 18, 1977.
Our District Governor Nominee, Albon Shaw, is going through some difficult times with his wife battling cancer in Denver. I'd encourage you to read this article and offer some words of encouragement on the Kudoboard that Shurie Scheel set up.
I'm certainly looking forward to our Changing of the Guard celebration at 5:30 on June 25th. It's at Terry Dye's house again this year, and will a wonderful time. I hope you'll be able to make it!
We heard from David Haase last week about our 14th Annual Peach Festival on August 17th. At this point, the big need is for you to put this on your calendar, and think about how you'd like to volunteer this year. We need lots and lots of volunteers to make this successful! Volunteer signups will be coming soon. As David said, this is now the second largest event in Fort Collins.
Our second Pickleball Classic has now been moved to October 19th to avoid a conflict with CSU Homecoming. There are a few sponsor slots remaining, so contact Mark Goldrich if you'd like to get visibility in this lively event!
