I'm enjoying the cooler weather right now as we wind down the summer season. After a glorious Peach Festival, it's now time to focus on our Pickleball Tournament, visit from the District Governor Elect, and other great events!
I wanted to make a special note that Ray Swanson needs a few more members in his International Service Committee. Now that we got our District Grant for the great work we're doing in Mexico, we need to get the international projects in motion! He'll be having a meeting on September 12th, so make sure to contact him if you'd like to find or more and help out. This is creating hope in the world!
Thank you to all who helped make our Peach Festival a rousing success! It was a wonderful day of music, beer, food, and building the presence of Rotary in Fort Collins!
Our hearts go out to those impacted by the disastrous fires in Maui, Hawaii. Many Rotarians are directly impacted. There are nine Rotary clubs on Maui and at this point it has been reported that the homes of two Club Presidents have been destroyed.
Finally Home – Standing in the Gap for Foster, Adoption, and Kinship Families
Niki McIntosh will talk about Family Home. Finally Home believes that all kids deserve a safe and loving family, and they are on a mission to equip every foster, adoptive, and kinship family with the tools, support, and resources they need to build healthy homes where these kids can heal and families can thrive. They strengthen and support families by providing research-based curriculum for parents, children, and teens that goes beyond traditional parenting and takes into account trauma and mental health.
