What an amazing time of year this is for our club.  I have been on quite the Rotary high with all of the amazing things that have happened in the last week. It started with a great meeting with our own Karen Morgan giving her update as District Governor.  We are so lucky to have Karen in our club and leading our District this year.   The biggest takeaway I got from the meeting was a question that Diane brought up.  It was the question of what would our world be like if Rotary didn't exist? It made me think of the movie, it's a Wonderful Life where George Bailey see's what the world would be like if he wasn't in it.   That thought really brought to light just how much we do!

Speaking of amazing things that we do, Holiday Baskets was once again an amazing experience. You have probably heard me say before that I have enjoyed Christmas so much more since I have been a Rotarian.  Holiday Baskets has been one of the key reasons for that!  My kids have grown up with this tradition that has been so important for their experience during the holidays. This year we delivered 80 baskets!  It is so amazing to see the joy especially in the kids faces when we come to the door with food for the Holidays.   Thank you to everyone in the club that helped with this event!

Saturday was capped off with an amazing Holiday Party.  What a great event!  Thanks Clark Street station for your great performance.  Thanks Patty for putting on this great event.  It has become such a great tradition in our club! 

Our final meeting of the year will be tomorrow.   Heather has some great activities planned and it will be a fun event for all.   Please remember that fines for tomorrow will go to the Marriott staff.  I unfortunately won't be able to attend tomorrow.  You will be in great hands with Kathe!    

While we won't have meetings the next two Tuesdays, January will be here before you know it. In the new year we will have several events happening.  The Pickleball tournament and Purple Pins for Polio will be our first two big events of the year.  Then we will have Slammin Famine later in February and the Quad Club picnic on March 1st.  

As we near the halfway mark of the Rotary year, I want to thank everyone of you for making our club the amazing club that it is.  We have the perfect combination of fun and service that makes being a Rotarian such an enjoyable experience.   I wish each of you the happiest of Holidays and looking forward to doing amazing things in 2026!
