What an amazing Peach Festival! It's hard to know where to begin! It's really amazing to see what this event has become. From my perspective it is the biggest day of the year for Rotary to show the community of Ft Collins and beyond what we do. The attendance was great, amazing weather, awesome bands and happy attendees! For me personally it has been great to share this experience with my boys who have helped volunteer several times over the years including yesterday. While these numbers aren't official, rough estimates are that we had over 4,000 attendees and brought in $73K in revenue!
The fun will continue on with the service project coming up in Mexico and the Duck Race the week after. Please be sure to get your Quack Packs and sign up to volunteer. We have had more people commit to going to Mexico which is great. I'm really excited to be able to do an International Project that doesn't take a lot of coordination on our part.
Thanks to everyone who was able to make it to the offsite at Children's Museum of Northern Colorado. It's great to see that Rotary has already been involved and hopefully our club can find a good way to connect to this project. There is no doubt that this project aligns well with what our club is all about.
Tomorrow we will back at the Marriott. Our speaker will be Erica Bethel of Joy and Justice. Joy and Justice is a non-profit that supports survivors of domestic violence and their children. The week after Lori Warren from Crossroads will be speaking to our club. She will be speaking about a new project where their clients will be able to attain multiple services all in in one space.

The organization partners with local agencies to provide safe, fun, and meaningful activities that help rebuild the bond between children and their safe parent. Erica’s mission is deeply personal, now, she uses her story to educate judges, attorneys, and lawmakers about the dangers of coercive control and the urgent need for reform. Joy & Justice invites the community to support this mission by learning, advocating, donating, and helping families reclaim joy and safety.
