The Fort Collins Foothills Rotary Club is a little over 100 people, who are dedicated to the principles of Rotary, doing great things to improve our community and the lives of others around the world.  We support each other and become close friends by meeting for lunch every Tuesday, where we have outstanding speakers every week, a nice lunch, and work on improving the world.

We also have evening meetings at 5:00pm every other Tuesday, if that works better for you.  Check out the meeting times, topics and locations on our meetup page.

What we do

Every individual in Rotary needs to be actively involved, directly or indirectly.  Everybody is volunteering their time and money, so we spread the work around.  This lets us tap our individual passions, expertise and connections!

We support efforts and projects internationally through the international Rotary organization.  The most visible of these is the campaign to eradicate polio worldwide. But more broadly, we also support Rotary's six areas of action:
  • Promoting peace
  • Preventing disease
  • Providing access to clean water and sanitation
  • Enhancing maternal and child health
  • Improving basic education and literacy
  • Helping communities develop
Rotary is 1.2 million passionate and dedicated people around the globe.  We're formed into 34,000 clubs in 200 countries.  Our particular club is in District 5440, which covers northern Colorado, Wyoming, and a bit of Nebraska and Idaho.  This organization helps our club to have even broader and deeper impacts in our various projects.

Our club is a friendly and supportive little community in itself.  We have a number of areas of emphasis:
  • Recognizing the incredible contributions of area teachers
  • Supporting accomplishments of PSD students
  • Bringing values-promoting exercises to school kids, and character development through RYLA and YRYLA
  • Developing and improving a particular school in Akumal, Mexico
  • Contributing to deserving charities in the area
  • Exchanging students with those in other countries
  • Supporting local Interact and Rotaract clubs for high school and college students
  • Support literacy through donated books and dictionaries
At our meetings, we also have discussions with and presentations from highly interesting speakers, always developing our knowledge and supporting improved communities.
