Bob will report on the Foundations activities and host grant recipients.

Officer O'Laughlin will discuss current gang trends and the efforts by law enforcement in northern Colorado to interdict them. Discussion will include street gangs, prison gangs, and outlaw motorcycle gangs. Other law enforcement related topics may be discussed as time allows.

Mike Davis will give a background and summary on what Lincoln Electric Automation does in Fort Collins and on a global basis (Lincoln Electric is a small part of a larger entity). He will talk about the local company history, how many and what type of folks we employ and will give some examples of the type of projects we do here.

Broadcom Inc. is an American multinational designer, developer, manufacturer, and global supplier of a wide range of semiconductor and infrastructure software products. Broadcom's product offerings serve the data center, networking, software, broadband, wireless, storage, and industrial markets.  Broadcom lineage has been a part of the Fort Collins and Northern Colorado community since 1962 and is thriving today.  The talk will give an overview of the history of the company and how it is making an impact in technology around the world today.

Freedon Service dogs of America provides custom-trained service dogs to assist veterans and first responders who have post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), traumatic brain injury, and loss of limbs or mobility due to combat-related injuries. With a Freedom Service Dog at their side, veterans, first responders, and active-duty service members can experience greater independence, self-confidence, happiness, and hope.

FSDOA highly skilled service dogs can assist veterans and first responders who have PTSD by waking them from nightmares, interrupting flashbacks, creating space around them in public places to reduce anxiety, depression and providing devoted companionship.

For veterans with mobility challenges, our service dogs can help with everyday tasks, such as turning lights on and off, opening doors and drawers, retrieving dropped items, and more, all at no cost to the veteran or 1^st responder.

Today’s speakers, cousins and fellow Rotarians, Peter Teahen and John Ockenfels, piloted a single piston-engine airplane around the world in 2023 to raise awareness and money for Rotary’s End Polio Now program. The flight took 90-days, made 37 landings in 19 countries, and involved 24 fundraisers. Only 702 pilots in aviation history have ever achieved this feat, and less than 270 are alive today!

For over 20 years, FlyWater (Founded by engineers and fishing guides) has been at the fore front of river restoration in Colorado. The company has completed hundreds of projects all over the state, on rivers of every shape and size, working with state, local and federal governments, NGO’s and private entities.  FlyWater works diligently to protect rivers and the
organisms that call them home. FlyWater owner, Corey Engen, will be talking about the history of FlyWater, the growing field of “river work” and some of the more memorable projects that
the company has been involved in.

Craig Johnson is the New York Times bestselling author of the Walt Longmire mystery novels, which are the basis for Longmire, the hit Netflix original drama. The books have won multiple awards: Le Prix du Polar Nouvel Observateur/Bibliobs, the Wyoming Historical Association’s Book of the Year, Le Prix 813, the Western Writers of America’s Spur Award, the Mountains & Plains Book of the Year, the SNCF Prix de Polar, Publishers Weekly Best Book of the Year, The Watson Award, Library Journal's Best Mystery of the Year, the Rocky, and the Will Rogers Award for Fiction.  Spirit of Steamboat was selected by the Wyoming State Library as the inaugural One Book Wyoming. Johnson lives in Ucross, Wyoming, population twenty-six.

Claire will explain how Dementia Together, a small yet rapidly growing nonprofit, is changing the narrative around dementia. We wii learn about the revolutionary SPECAL® method, which is becoming the gold standard for dementia care—and how it fosters lifelong well-being for those walking the dementia journey. 

 Zack Loffert is the owner and curator of the Rodz & Bodz Car Museum (Movie Cars & More) in Englewood, Co.  He wii talk about the history of the museum how it started, some of the cars and rental options and new location.

Detective Corporal Scott Gammon, of the Fort Collins Police Department, will discuss how law enforcement is using technology in a real-time environment to increase public safety.

When you watch or listen to a sporting event, you are probably going to hear statistics being incorporated into the broadcast. Oner might wonder what is involved in doing the stats for a game and who comes up with that information. I have been doing stats at games since I was 15 years old and there is considerable prep work for a game by researching key stats, trends, and possible records. At the games I sit in the broadcast booth with the announcers who have also done their homework for the broadcast. There are many stats that I track during the game by utilizing worksheets, having “cheat sheets” of info I have gathered, and keeping a running play-by-play so I can provide the stats they want and need as well as back up what they have said on air. For me, keeping the stats is more than just the yardage of a play as I look for trends and possible records in real time. There are different ways to communicate information during actual game action, commercial breaks, halftime, and postgame. In essence, the statistician hopefully comes up with the numbers that help tell the story of why the game is going a certain way. I look forward to sharing some of the behind-the-scenes information that eventually helps you the listener be better informed about the game.

Sami Zepponi, (a master's student in anthropology at the University of Denver) will talk about the history of the Amache WWII incarceration site in Southern Colorado and the ongoing archaeological research at the site.

Meet at Timberline Church

Seth Forwood will talk about homelessness in Fort Collins and how the new building being built in North Fort Collins is primed to address long-standing needs in our community and benefit those experiencing homelessness and businesses and neighbors alike

 Emily's presentation will include a brief history/summary of Give & Surf and the Bocas del Toro Rotary Club, the challenges our archipelago faces (specifically related to education), and the B.E.S.T. (Bocas Education in Service & Tourism) vocational training program that launched in October 2023 with support from various Rotary Clubs, including those in Denver and Summit County.

Lindy Clausen, Education Coordinator, will take on a virtual tour of the International Quilt Museum.  Located in Lincoln, Nebraska, on the University of Nebraska campus, the International Quilt Museum is home to the largest publicly held collection of quilts in the world.  From quilts made around the year 1600 to present day quilts, prepare to be surprised as you learn about our fantastic museum and ever-changing exhibits.

Caitlin McKennie, CSI’s Director of Research, will present on Colorado’s rapidly evolving electricity sector and what it means for consumers, businesses, and the state’s economy. Her remarks will highlight how proposed energy transitions, while driven by innovation and climate targets, could significantly affect the cost and reliability of Colorado’s power supply. This discussion will help community leaders and policymakers consider how to balance emissions goals with affordability and infrastructure realities.  She will also give an overview and key points of the recent report on highway maintence, "Highway Detours: The Ongoing Shift of Transportation Dollars".

Discover the Possibilities is a tour of Mosaic's mission, vision and passion for the people we serve. During the program, participants will learn about Mosaic’s services and work through stories told by those who know it well—the people we support, their families and those who serve.
